SEED Ministry was birthed by the Tuitama Family having a desire to step out of their comfort zone and make a difference within their neighbourhood through an act of a "simple gesture" of giving a food parcel.
November 2010, the dream became a reality. The family were determined to fulfil the urge to act, so they stepped into the streets and started with 20 Seed Parcels to 20 homes, then every month after that, a total of 40 Seed Parcels would be blessing the streets of West Auckland.
SEED Parcels continued to impact homes locally for 3 years, showing the love through action. The Impact from our SEED Parcels were in stages:
1st Year: The families would receive a Seed Parcel at their doorstep.
2nd Year: The families would share their situation at the doorstep and S2H Team would offer prayer and it was well received.
3rd Year: The families would open their doors, welcome the S2H Team into the homes, we would share and prayer for the family and the sick.
Breakthrough within the homes occurred as the S2H Team “faithfully” planted “SEEDS of Hope”.
In 2013, SEED Ministry took a huge step of faith and explored the idea of taking the SEED Parcels to the Nations. After seeking spiritual advice, the Tuitama Family connected with a missions organisation and began to plan their first mission trip, destination - Fiji.
The family travelled to Fiji and we were greeted with our Fiji hosts. What unfolded in this mission was the realisation that what Seed Ministry has to offer seemed simple BUT became lifeline support to many places, villages, churches for the family to plant Seeds of Hope. One highlight was Naimasimasi Village situated in the interior. You have to travel by boat up the Navua River to get there. The team ministered to 3 villages facilitating the UNITY Kids Programme and blessing many families with the Seed Parcels. Fiji was the first Nation Seed Ministry stepped into and a total of 100+ SEED Parcels were distributed as the team moved through different provinces within the South of Viti Levu.
On return from Fiji, the family were left with a stirring in their hearts to want to go further than the Pacific. The family became part of another mission team of 11 under MVNZ who travelled to the Philippines to support a Youth Camp within the Mindoro Island working with the indigenous - Mangyan Tribal Communities. An experience the family will cherish as it opened their eyes to Kingdom View through Spiritual Eyes. This experience in the Philippines, confirmed to the family that they were to set up Seed Ministry as a NGO organisation.
Within the 3 years, the Tuitama Family saw ground-breaking opportunities locally and globally. Doors opened in churches, villages, family homes and provinces where they ministered to children, youth, men and women. Little did they know, expansion was about to happen.
2016 SEED Ministry changed its name to SEED 2 HARVEST ("S2H") and what birthed that year was a move of families and individuals daring to want to GO on missions. The Tuitama Family's sphere of influence has become the "catalyst" for many families and individuals desiring to experience for themselves the “Adventures of Missions”. The opportunity to "Give of your Time", "Show Love through Action" and sharing the "Simple Gestures" within a village, an unreached group, the slums, the cities and provinces of other Nations, became a Reality.
S2H’s DNA is to "Spark the Fire" where darkness lingers, the stench and filth is in sight and the tread of your feet leaves a lasting impression as they "Plant Seeds of Hope". It was time to Release and Mobilise our team members into leadership. So in 2018, 2 mission teams to 2 destinations, Cambodia and Fiji were sent. The challenges from both countries were extreme, but with the leadership of both teams, unity and team morale stayed strong. S2H Teams are impacting nations and building relationships with every contact they make, one Mission at a time.
2019, a Shift and Transition for Seed 2 Harvest to “step out” and “make room” for more. The sacrifices Seed 2 Harvest have made has allowed them to move into places the Spirit desires them to go to. The Lord can only operate when you allow Him "full access" to your lives, so when it is time to move, you are ready to GO! S2H have stepped out into New Expansion and continues to grow.
